  1. Better late than never right? The Mix Up 2011 (Spotify) Disc 1 / Disc 2 The Mix Up 2011 (mp3 DL) Disc 1 + 2 Once again I’ve put together a year end mix. For those keeping score at home, this is the third time I’ve done as such (click here for 2008 / 2010). As a reminder, my general operating procedures for these things is as follows: Must be a song I fell in love with in 2011. Not “the best” songs or “coolest” songs or “buzz worthy” but songs that just caught my attention.   Must have been released RELATIVELY recently. Not necessarily this past year but something in the ball park of a contemporary release. There are a couple exceptions to this rule this year… Deal with it! Must not repeat artists from previous years. PLEASE check the previous Mix Ups before you write me some hate mail about how I left out this year’s Hot Chip release or some bullshit like that. The only repeats this year are Little Dragon and Kanye West. No Western Art Music. If you want my thoughts on Bach or Bartok just write me. I got into some serious weird music this year. No complaints or surprises there.
